Kenya Co-operative Coffee Exporters Limited (KCCE) was founded on 25th June 2009 and registered as a Co-operative Society under the Co-operative Societies Act of 2004. It is licensed as a Coffee Marketing Agent by the Coffee Board of Kenya, now operating under the Coffee Directorate.
KCCE was established with the support of the Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Co-operative Development and Marketing, in response to long-standing challenges within the Kenyan coffee sector. These included limited farmer control over marketing, fragmented export coordination, inconsistent quality representation, and reduced net returns at origin. The organisation was created to strengthen how Kenyan coffee is prepared, marketed, and exported, while ensuring that cooperative coffee reaches international buyers with clarity, traceability, and proper handling.

Today, KCCE operates as a Kenya coffee exporter working directly with coffee cooperatives, factories, wet mills, and service partners across the country. Its role is to coordinate the movement of coffee from cooperative level through milling, storage, quality evaluation, and export, ensuring that Kenyan specialty coffee is represented accurately and prepared to meet buyer expectations in global markets.
